1. About Home & Garden Club
These Terms of Membership & Website Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Home & Garden Club website, your registration of interest, participation in Club activities and events, and, where applicable, your membership of Home & Garden Club (“the Club”).
By accessing our website, registering your interest, applying for membership, attending an event or otherwise engaging with Home & Garden Club, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Home & Garden Club is a private, invitation-led community created for founders, directors, senior marketers and business leaders from established UK home and garden brands.
The Club reserves the right to amend these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be published on our website.
Home & Garden Club is a trading name of HGC Events Ltd, whose registered address is: The Old School House, Norris Road, Arncott, Bicester, OX25 1NZ
2. Membership
Home & Garden Club is a curated, invitation-led community.
Submitting a registration of interest, completing the Founding Member Insights, attending an event or engaging with the Club does not guarantee membership.
Membership is offered entirely at the discretion of Home & Garden Club.
When considering membership we may take into account factors including, but not limited to:
- relevance to the Club’s purpose
- seniority
- business sector
- business size
- geographic representation
- diversity of experience
- maintaining an appropriate balance within the membership community.
Our decisions regarding membership are final.
3. Founding Members
During the launch of Home & Garden Club, selected individuals may be invited to become Founding Members.
Founding Members are invited to contribute ideas, feedback and perspectives that help shape the development of the Club.
Any suggestions, ideas or feedback provided may be used by Home & Garden Club without restriction or compensation.
Participation as a Founding Member does not:
- confer ownership of the Club
- create any legal partnership
- create shareholder rights
- create any entitlement to future membership benefits beyond those communicated by the Club.
4. Events
Home & Garden Club organises private events including, but not limited to:
- leadership lunches
- dinners
- roundtables
- workshops
- panel discussions
- networking events
- industry visits
- member gatherings.
Attendance is by invitation or confirmed booking only.
Places may be limited.
Where events become oversubscribed we reserve the right to allocate places to maintain an appropriate balance of attendees.
We reserve the right to:
- amend event programmes
- change venues
- substitute speakers
- alter timings
- postpone events
- cancel events where reasonably necessary.
Where an event is cancelled by Home & Garden Club any event fee paid will be refunded unless otherwise stated.
We are not responsible for travel, accommodation or other costs incurred by attendees.
5. Membership Conduct
Home & Garden Club exists to create an environment where members can build trusted relationships and have honest commercial conversations.
Members and guests are expected to behave professionally and respectfully at all times.
Members must not:
- harass or intimidate others
- behave in a discriminatory or abusive manner
- deliberately disrupt events
- use the Club primarily for unsolicited selling or prospecting
- damage the reputation of the Club or its members.
Commercial relationships may naturally develop through the Club.
However, Home & Garden Club is not intended to operate as a sales forum.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate membership or refuse attendance where behaviour is inconsistent with the values of the Club.
6. Confidentiality
Home & Garden Club encourages open discussion between experienced business leaders.
Members are expected to treat conversations with discretion.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, information shared by attendees during Club events should not be publicly attributed to individuals or organisations without permission.
Members remain responsible for protecting their own commercially sensitive information.
Home & Garden Club cannot guarantee confidentiality between attendees but expects all members to respect the spirit of trusted peer-to-peer discussion.
7. Photography & Filming
Photography and video recording may take place during Club events.
Images and recordings may be used by Home & Garden Club for:
- marketing
- social media
- websites
- newsletters
- promotional materials
- future event promotion.
If you do not wish to appear in photographs or recordings you should notify us before the event wherever reasonably possible.
We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests.
8. Intellectual Property
All content produced by Home & Garden Club remains our intellectual property unless otherwise stated.
This includes:
- branding
- logos
- written materials
- presentations
- videos
- recordings
- event resources
- publications
- reports
- website content.
Members may not reproduce, distribute, modify, sell or commercially exploit any materials without our prior written consent.
9. Fees, Payments & Refunds
Certain events or membership tiers may require payment.
Where applicable, fees, payment terms and cancellation policies will be clearly communicated before booking.
Unless otherwise stated:
- bookings are personal
- tickets are non-transferable without our written approval
- refunds are provided only where stated or required by law.
10. Website Use
You agree to use the Home & Garden Club website only for lawful purposes.
You must not:
- attempt unauthorised access to our systems
- interfere with website functionality
- introduce malicious software
- use automated tools to extract website content without permission.
We reserve the right to suspend or restrict access where necessary.
11. Privacy
Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
By using our website or engaging with the Club you acknowledge that your personal information may be processed in accordance with that policy.
12. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where exclusion would be unlawful.
Subject to this:
Home & Garden Club shall not be liable for:
- indirect losses
- consequential losses
- loss of profit
- loss of business opportunity
- reputational damage
- interruption to business.
Our total liability in connection with any event or service shall not exceed the amount paid by you for that event or service.
Participation in Club events is at your own risk.
13. Termination
Home & Garden Club reserves the right to:
- withdraw invitations
- suspend membership
- terminate membership
- refuse attendance at events
where we reasonably believe this is necessary to protect the integrity, reputation or operation of the Club.
Termination does not affect any rights or obligations that arose before termination.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
The most recent version will always be available on our website.
Continued participation in the Club after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
